Saher Lun-Sul was born on the Miraluka world of Alpheridies to a traditional Miralukan family with connections to the local oligarchic government and the Luka Sene. As such, he was enrolled in religious studies with the goal of becoming another clerk in the family. It was there that his sensitivity was first discovered, and he was advanced up the training rungs towards more curated forms of Luka Sene studies.

He studied with the Luka Sene for most of his life, and only recently was transferred to the Jedi Order as part of a student exchange program where he would be given further training and, if he would want to, become a Jedi himself. Much to his family's dismay at the thought of losing a child to outsiders, some part of his heart is glad at the opportunity to venture out into the galaxy and experience its wonders.
