Promoting Us

The continued growth of The Jedi Academy has always been driven by its members.

Every new face, every fresh perspective and every lasting friendship began because someone chose to introduce another person to our community. Whether through a conversation with a friend, a recommendation to a fellow Role-Player, or simply sharing our website with someone who shares a passion for Star Wars, every introduction helps The Jedi Academy continue to grow.

If you believe that The Jedi Academy offers a Role-Playing experience worth sharing, we warmly encourage you to recommend us to others.

Our official website, www.thejediacademy.org, serves as the primary source of information for prospective members and contains everything they need to learn about our community, philosophy and application process.

We are always happy to answer questions from prospective members, regardless of their previous Role-Playing experience. Whether someone is completely new to Role-Playing, returning after many years away, or simply curious about The Jedi Academy, The Jedi Council and our members are always happy to answer questions, provide guidance and help newcomers determine whether our community is the right fit for them.

The Jedi Academy welcomes individuals from all backgrounds and levels of experience. Friends, family members, classmates, colleagues and fellow guild members are equally welcome to explore what we have to offer. We believe that the strongest communities grow through genuine recommendations and shared enthusiasm rather than aggressive negotiations and harsh recruitment.

At the same time, every prospective member is expected to uphold the standards and values upon which The Jedi Academy has been built.

Regardless of how someone discovers our community (or who invited them) they are expected to read, understand and adhere to The Jedi Academy's rules, protocols, guidelines and policies.

Every member enters The Jedi Academy on equal terms, united by a shared commitment to respect, maturity and collaborative storytelling.

Unless otherwise stated, original characters, biographies, journals, prose, artwork, original missions and other creative works remain the intellectual property of their respective creators.

   Artificial Intelligence

Certain illustrations, concept artwork, environmental visualizations and architectural concepts displayed throughout this website as well as our Discord-server have been created with the assistance of artificial intelligence.

Where applicable, The Jedi Academy utilizes OpenAI's ChatGPT image generation capabilities to create original concept artwork illustrating Academy locations, architecture, environments, interior spaces, landscapes and scenes intended to support immersion and role-playing.

These illustrations should be viewed as artistic interpretations intended to visualize original Academy concepts and should not be interpreted as official Star Wars artwork or official representations of locations within the Star Wars franchise.

   Individual Artists and Creators

The Jedi Academy also makes use of artwork, commissioned illustrations, graphic design and other creative material produced by individual artists and creators.

Wherever reasonably possible, artists, authors and creators are credited alongside their work or within the relevant documentation.

The Jedi Academy greatly values the work of independent artists and firmly believes that proper attribution should accompany every creative work whenever possible.

If you believe any artwork, illustration or other creative material has been incorrectly attributed, lacks appropriate acknowledgement, or should receive additional credit, we kindly ask that you contact The Jedi Council so that the matter may be reviewed and corrected promptly.

   Use of Academy Material

The Jedi Academy welcomes those who find inspiration in our work.

Members of the wider Star Wars Role-Playing community are welcome to reference our ideas, quote publicly available documentation and draw inspiration from our original material, provided that appropriate acknowledgement is given.

Should you wish to reproduce substantial portions of our documentation, adapt significant elements of our original lore, republish Academy material, incorporate our original systems into another community, or otherwise make extensive use of our original creative works, we respectfully ask that you contact The Jedi Academy and The Jedi Council beforehand.

In nearly every circumstance, we are happy to discuss such requests.

We believe that creativity flourishes through collaboration, mutual respect, open communication and proper acknowledgement of those whose work inspires others.

   Respect for Intellectual Property

The Jedi Academy expects every member to respect the intellectual property rights of both official copyright holders and fellow creators.

Members should not knowingly reproduce, redistribute, republish or claim ownership of artwork, writing, designs, role-playing systems, documentation or other creative works without the permission of the original creator where such permission is required.

Likewise, members are expected to acknowledge and credit the work of others whenever another person's creativity has contributed significantly to their own.

Respect for creativity, originality and authorship remains one of the fundamental principles upon which The Jedi Academy has been built.

   Acknowledgement

The Jedi Academy exists because of the extraordinary creativity, passion and dedication of countless individuals.

From George Lucas, whose imagination first brought the Star Wars galaxy to life, to Lucasfilm Ltd., The Walt Disney Company, Electronic Arts, BioWare and Broadsword for creating and maintaining the universe in which our stories unfold; from the artists whose illustrations inspire our imagination, to the writers, builders, Role-Players and community members whose creativity continues to shape The Jedi Academy itself...

We extend our sincere gratitude.

The Jedi Academy is, and always will be, a celebration of collaborative storytelling.

Every lesson taught, every story that has been written, every piece of artwork created, every tradition carefully preserved and every friendship formed.

Together, they represent the countless contributions that have made this community possible, and for that, we remain profoundly thankful.
