Graeryyhn was born on Kashyyyk, originally with the name Gaarevge.

 

As a child, he was found by Kinaya Jikiiti and sent to the Jedi Academy on Yavin IV, as is customary for force sensitive younglings. He has only a few memories of his home planet, remembering the fresh wooden smell of the air, and the cool of the Wroshyr tree shadows.

 

As a child in the academy, Gaarevge was often excitable, and a little brash and a little stupid (in the way kids often are). He was often more interested in the "cool" parts of Jedi training, eg. duelling, than the intellectual pursuits of the order. Kinaya Jikiiti seemed however to have taken a special interest in Gaarevge, and seemed to have endless patience for his silliness.

 

Unfortunately, Gaarevge's training was cut short before he became a Padawan, by the Zakuulan attack on the Yavin IV Academy. Thankfully, he survived and escaped into space. This was when he decided to change his name to Graeryyhn, both for secrecy and to reflect a personal emotional change.

 

Over the next 10 years, Graeryyhn jumped between spaceships, doing various oddjobs. Sometimes paid, sometimes unpaid. Over this time, he slowly picked up skills in ship- and droid repairs. Because of his time in Jedi training, Graeryyhn had a habit of being attracted to anything that resembled the philosophy of the force, which in practice meant an interest in any and all religious beliefs around the galaxy, and he liked collecting different religious symbols, amulets, items etc. from these religions that he felt an attachment to.

 

Eventually, when the Jedi Academy was reestablished, Graeryyhn would soon be rediscovered by a member, and would be reinvited back into training.
